Analysing Contents Covers

I can obviously tell that this is a wedding/bridal magazine. This is because that the pictures instantly show a bride and groom, wedding dresses and a young girl as a bridesmaid. Also the pictures are mainly concentrating on the women in the photo’s , I have noticed that the males faces are either hidden or faced away from the camera so the photo is mainly showing the bride, so this instantly tells me it could be a female magazine.

The font is elegant and simple it is not too bold or busy. This is so that they stick to the genre of the magazine and so the don’t give the reader the wrong impression.

The colours are also simple, because in a wedding magazine the bridal dresses have to give the impression mainly, so they keep the colours simple and plain. Also sometimes pictures are shown in black and white like one of the pictures on the contents page, so the colours of the contents page match the pictures and the simplicity of the pictures because non of the pictures contain a lot of detail .
