Analysing Contents Covers

This magazine is a travel and tourism magazine, even though I cant se the front cover of the magazine I still know what type it is. There are pictures of a certain culture such as Japan or China. So this gives me the impression that it’s a tourism magazine.

The pictures of the city contrast with the background of the magazine because the pictures are bright and colourful and the background is black. The font and wording contrasts with the background because the wording and the numbers of the pages are bright colours such as yellow and orange. The black background also makes the pictures stand out more and they appeal more to the reader.

This magazine has also used edits. They have made the words and pictures slanted, this is to give it a different effect and to make it seem different and unusual.

The colours of the magazine appeal to any audience, For example if the colours were pink and black it would appeal more to females and the colours were blue and green the magazine would appeal more to males. Orange, yellow ,white, black appeal to any kind of audience and it doesn’t send out the wrong message to the wrong audience
