This is my final double page spread. This is the only page that i have used bright colours. I wanted my double page spread to look fun and wanted the page to look busy and full. I wanted to use the majority of my pictures on this page because i only had 2 different bands for my pictures, one girl group and one boy group so i decided to have a 'boys vs girls' theme . I used similar fonts, it is the same font as my title. I did this because i didn't want to use different fonts on different pages. I also added a strip at the bottom of the page and added a false link to my magazines website because this is what magazines do to advertise there magazine. I have used brightly colours guitars in the background to show that it is a rock/punk magazine. It would of looked plain and boring if i didn't add a background. I have made the page kind of symmetrical so it looks even and neat so objects aren't all over the pages. I also kept with the green text so that it stands out against the black background. I have also used filmstrips at either side of the page because i think it makes the pictures stand out more because i had to have small pictures on these pages to fit everything on , so with using film strips this made them stand out more and look more unique.Overall i am very pleased with my double page spread because i dint use any other music magazine double pages to get ideas from i had to come up with my own because n double page spreads from music magazines were available on the Internet.I used the 'boys vs girls' theme so that it catches both genders attention.
This is my final contents page. I have used simple colours such as white, black, green and grey. I used dull colours so that the one bright colour(green) that i chose stud out. I didn't want my contents page to be colourful because dull colours fit in better with a 'rock/punk' genre. This is one of the conventional methods that i have used all through my magazine. Colours can be very important when creating a magazine.Just by using certain colours it can be appeared as a certain gendered magazine. For example if i used blue and black it would appear more for males. If i used pink and black it would appear to be more suitable for females. I used green because green is not prototyped as a specific gender colour. I used the same font for the titles on this page and for the numbers so that it all 'matched'. I used the same font but a different colour for the contents descriptions and for the titles of the bands. I did this so that the band names would stand out more from the descriptions.I used 2 pictures showing what in the magazine (for page 20), i got this idea off another magazine. I also made my pictures black and white because normally in magazines the pictures aren't black and white so this is an unconventional method that i have used. I wanted my background picture to be dull so that righting is clear on the page.If the picture was coloured it would be more difficult to read and more difficult to make the band names stand out.I fount this page quite difficult to produce because i had no idea to go off because i have never brought a music magazine before. I searched the Internet for an example and i fount an example that i got some ideas from to start me off.The magazine cover that i used is saved on my blog as 'idea magazine'. Overall i think that my contents page looks professional and interesting and i am very pleased with the outcome.
