Analysing a magazine

Master head
The title of the magazine is bold and at the top of the magazine , this is so we now what this magazine is called, also the name of the magazine is rock , this gives us a hint of what this magazine is all about, also the font of the title is big and in block letters to stand out to the reader and also hints to us the genre of the magazine because if it was fancy lettering the customer would get confused and would not really know what the magazine was all about.

Sub headings
There are little bits of colours on the magazine such as yellow and blue, this makes some of the sub titles stand out it also adds a little bit of colour to the magazine so it doesn’t look so dull and its to try and attract the customers attention.

Main picture
This band is the main picture on the front cover of this magazine , this also shows what genre the magazine is, also its simple and there is not a busy background, this is so that the front cover doesn’t look to busy.

Colours
The colours on this magazine are mainly black and white, this matches the genre of the magazine, because if the colours were pink and red, then the colours would not fit in with the genre.
